COUNSELING SERVICES
I have been counseling angry men (and teens) since 1994. Individual counseling is real therapy. It is not a “class.” The work we do can be difficult, intense, and upsetting. However, the rewards far outweigh the price we pay to turn our lives around.
The men I work with are courageous. They are willing to do whatever it takes to facilitate positive change. Counseling addresses thoughts and feelings on which lives are built. I develop and integrate effective and positive counseling philosophies using several different approaches. I help men help themselves become who they really want to be.
ANGER ASSESSMENTS
Along with specialized counseling services, I am often contacted to administer court ordered anger assessments. His history of specialized counseling with angry men provides him insight and experience not common amongst his colleagues. In fact, psychologists, counselors, and social workers often refer to him clients needing such assessments.
Given years of experience and training, I have developed an assessment protocol designed to increase effectiveness and satisfaction with both clients and the legal community. I include in my assessments: psychometric testing, a thorough review of psychosocial data, and a clinical interview (where the client may, if desired, explain and express him/her self regarding anything relevant to the assessment). In addition, I screen for mood disorders; such as depressive and anxiety disorders, as these afflictions often influence and/or explain excessive and suppressed anger in men.
I believe that my role in providing anger assessments is not to determine guilt or innocence, but to develop an accurate profile of an individual’s expression (or suppression) of anger. I rely on my clinical skills and experience to compile and weigh all relevant data before making recommendations. Court personnel and Probation Officers routinely rely on my expertise, as evidenced by their confidence in my recommendations.

STATE CERTIFIED DUI EVALUATIONS
I am qualified as a State of Georgia Certified DUI Evaluator. This means that I am approved to provide court ordered DUI evaluations for both first time offenders and multiple offenders. Evaluations are of the highest quality, as evidenced by history of Court and Probation Officer’s reliance on many of my reports. clinical impressions and subsequent recommendations.
I also provide court ordered substance abuse evaluations (for other than DUI). Such evaluations are performed in compliance with court expectations and are similar in form and content to DUI evaluations (based on circumstance). Again, court officials have routinely relied on my recommendations for treatment (if any).
OTHER FORENSIC EVALUATIONS
Attorneys are encouraged to contact me for expert testimony and/or mental health consultations. I have been qualified in numerous courts as an expert (relevant to anger and/or substance abuse) and have testified in County, State, Federal, and Tribal courts. In addition, I have performed over 100 court ordered evaluations since 2005.
